Art, mostly

(aido's terrible blog)

10/21/09 12:54 pm - FINISHED MAW SCULPT!! Also: some art!

First, I want to thank everyone for giving feedback on the last entry. :D You guys are great! I feel bad that I can't reply to everyone, but your voice was heard!

So HAY GUYS! The preorder for the Maw ends on OCTOBER 25TH! After that they'll go into production, and Patch Together will only have a finite number of figurines.

The final colors! )

... ... ...

And then there were more arts. Lots of Cecilia and Death/JW stuff. )

... ... ...

I think Miss Monster linked this site on twitter yesterday: Hilda pinups by Duane Bryers. Gorgeous 60's pinups of an adorable buxom lady, lots and lots of character and energy. Her mouth just makes the best shapes!

4/30/09 03:41 pm - I think it has been a while.

Oh goodness, let me post some art. I've been sitting on most of this for somewhere between months and weeks. 8O

a few artist trading cards, some gift art, beasts, nerdity, tegaki things. There is one half-naked lady. )

... ... ...

SO, RECAP:
Draw a girl for [info]harveyjames.

Read [info]rufftoon's Water Tribe.

Oh gosh, there's so much more art that I left out. I need to share this stuff more often, I just have a bad tendency of getting all nervous and jittery about posting. :/

One final thing: It looks like I'm going to be following Ananth to do a Free Comicbook Day shindig at J&M Comics in Eldersburg, MD this upcoming weekend. (I'm 100% not important, I'm just going as moral support. If you stop by, we can hang out or whatever.) Also, I'll be at TCAF the weekend after that-- I don't have a table, but I hear I'm halfway recognizable in a crowd! If you see me, say hello!

12/6/08 01:14 pm - CHILD'S PLAY and other things

This year, I was asked to join in with a Webcomic Holiday Card Fundraiser for Child's Play, so I drew a thing. You can buy these guys bundled with cards done by people more popular than I am. XD

The full card and some drawings from the zoo )

OH MAN GOTS TO GET COOKIN' FOR HAMSGIVING 8D

11/17/06 12:29 pm - It's not really that time of the week yet, but I'll pretend it is.

Heyy, sorry it's been a while with the comic. My final exams and final projects just finished up, so I have a bit of free time on my hands before I head home for Thanksgiving break. The rest of my free time will hopefully go towards going out and purchasing curtains. Exciting, I know.

..........

I am boring, so I will give you links to things that are more interesting than I am that I yoinked from people who are also more interesting than I am.

[info]verabee: The recreational uses of Google Maps never cease to amaze.

[info]elbales: "He's a hate-fuelled voodoo card sharp with no name. She's an elegant bisexual femme fatale on the trail of a serial killer. They fight crime!" The horrible thing is, I can see some halfway-decent stories come out of this. Also, my mind immediately goes to [info]bravecows.

FRC Forums: Ohh, Biology. I will never stop loving you.

..........

Right. Curtains.

[edit] I should mention that I'll be so damned mad if anyone calls me tonight between the times of 8:00 and 8:30.

9/16/06 09:39 pm - AAAAAIRPORTS and also pixel icons

I'm going to bitch about yesterday for a moment for your amusement.

I was supposed to leave from Rochester at 6:30pm, arrive in Newark at 8:00pm on Thursday. My parents were nice and I needed to go back home to get more work done to get my root canal finished. The flight was cancelled, I was transferred to the next available flight, which was at 6:30am Friday morning. I arrived in Newark twelve hours later than I was originally supposed to.

After the dental work, I was scheduled to leave from Newark airport at 4:30pm on Friday afternoon and arrive in Rochester by around 5. My mom and I arrived at the airport at around 2 because my parents are paranoid and wanted me there early, and we immediately found out that my flight had been cancelled again, and rescheduled for 6:30pm. Then it's delayed to 8:30pm. 10:00pm. And finally, 11:30pm, which was when we finally boarded and flew back to Rochester.

Yesterday, I was in Newark airport for nearly 10 hours.

And not to mention poor Brian, who'd stayed up since midnight the night before to take me to my first flight, and expecting that if he'd take a nap he'd miss me for my second— he wound up staying up for over 24 hours waiting for my plane to arrive.

...........

Oh, and I finished those pixel commissions. Many thanks to everyone who got one, you guys were awesome. :D

[info]rahsyk, [info]18x24, and [info]inuki42, respectively. I was asked not to share the last commission.

Anywho, hooray! Thanks everyone for helping me indulge in my current pixel-fiddling obsession. ...wow that sounds dirty.

Dang, did anyone else know that the Gorillaz were on MTV Cribs? Hot damn.

Also, did anyone else read Eragon way-back-when and find it generic and unimpressive. I need to know I'm not the only one. Really, a teenager publishing a novel isn't as uncommon as you'd think, especially not one that's such a cut-and-dry adaptation of the hero's journey. I think I'd avoid that movie like the plague if I didn't think that Jeremy Irons was so damned hot.

Also, John Malcovich plays himself in every role he's in.
